Well as we head towards the middle of the Summer things tend to quieten on the free events front, what with everyone being drunk an' all.  But there's still plenty going on this weekend to tickle your fancies, not least of which is the first ever Whitecross Street Party.  This coincides with the Barbican Weekender just down the road where not all events arefree but lots are and it looks well worth a visit.

Ealing's Summer Festival season is underway with Ealing Blues Festival on Saturday followed by the Global Festival of world music on Sunday.  Both events cost a quid to get in, kids go free.

There's a celebratrion of Food and Drink all week until Friday down at Spitalfields Market whilst over at 195 Mare Street this weekend they'll be having a look at the past, present and future of the building.

Finally the FUSE Festival to be held in Kensington Gardens on Sunday is an arts and community festival organised by and for young people and there's a Pet's Party in Regents Park on Saturday.

And that's all for now, cos we're busy, check back later in the week for more event details or browse the listings.
