The weekend starts early with a Jungle Themed Waterloo Carnival taking place on Friday 16th, whilst Shoreditch Festival also begins on Friday with an evening with the Royal Philharmonic Ocrhestra followed by a firework display.

Shoreditch Festival continues over the weekend with live music on the main stage, film screenings on a big screen, a dance stage, spoken word tent, dog show and much more.

Talking of dog shows, Lambeth Country Fair also takes place over both days of the weekend with live animal displays, stalls, brass bands, a funfair and more.  On the main stage no less then Alabama 3, Saxon Sound System, Miss Frank, Soul II Soul and the Twinkle Brothers are some of the confirmed acts.

Out East it's Dagenham Town Show with the X Factor's Stacey Solomon, R'n'B star McLean and boy band Damage amongst those taking to the stage.  Leytonstone Festival also begins this week and is set to run until the 25th July.

Finally the Big Lunch on Sunday aims to bring communities together, for lunch, and there's a Village Fete being held in Twickenham.
